Are you sure the directories are correct?

Does jQuery itself work?  You could try a little test function:

  1.     <script type="text/javascript">

            function DocReady()

I tried it to and it works. however I am using these scripts.

I am using a customizable skin and using 1.6.2

    <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.min.js"></script>
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/custom-theme/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.css" />

Did you run this in Fire Fox? Under tools there is an error console app that will tell you if your are throwing any javascript errors.  I would look there after you run your page and click on the calendar

The jQuery UI Datepicker module depends on jQuery UI Core, so you need to load that as well. Either create a custom build of jQuery UI that includes both, or use one of the existing CDNs. Similarly the Datepicker styling depends on basic styling from the theme.

I'm having a similar problem - I have the CSS and JQuery files linked (all are linked ok, I can access them from the source using Chrome Inspect Element)
<link media="screen" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../css/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="../javascript/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="../javascript/jquery-ui-1.8.16.custom.min.js"></script>
and the script underneath in the Head
<script type="text/javascript">
 dateFormat: "dd/mm/yy",
   disabled: false,
but when I click the input
<input type="text" id="IPR_DOB" name="IPR_DOB" class="iField" value="<<IPF~IPR_DOB.IPR>>"/>
I'm using JQuery elsewhere on the same page to animate Div's and thought this might be causing issues, but I removed it and the problem still persists...
I tried Steve Wellens test

        function DocReady()

but it didn't work... but I'm completely new to all this so am having no joy finding the solution.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be extremely grateful,

Hi All,
I am new here, I am new to jQuery, I am even new to Javascript. However I decied I'll try to get a calendar displayed to input date into field. I've read a lot of tutorials and examples. and created this:
  2. <html>
  3. <head>
  4.         <title>JQuery Test</title>
  5.         <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
  6.         <link href="../libs/jquery/datepicker.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" />
  7.         <script type="text/javascript" src="../libs/jquery/jquery-1.7.1.js"></script>
  8.         <script type="text/javascript" src="../libs/jquery/development-bundle/ui/jquery.ui.datepicker.js"></script>
  9.         <script type="text/javascript">
  10.             $(function()
  11.             {
  12.                 $('#date-pick').datepicker({
  13.                     showOn: "button",
  14.                     dateFormat: "dd/mm/yy",
  15.                     disabled: false,
  16.                     buttonImage: "../images/calendar.png",
  17.                     buttonImageOnly: true
  18.                 });
  19.             });
  20.         </script>
  21.     </head>
  22.     <body>
  23.         Enter your birthdate :
  24.         <input name="date1" type="text" id="date-pick" size="10" maxlength="10" />
  25.     </body>
  26. </html>
The problem is when I click on calendar icon nothing happens. Like it was just a picture. I have read a lot of solutions and nothing has helped.
I would appreciate any help.
